Random v0.5 Development Shots 2005-10-25
Debugging screenshots of skeletal animation that will be available in v0.5 . The model as well as skeleton was created using the Milkshape3D export plugin that will also be available in the next release.

V0.4 Development - Multitexturing2005-03-06
Below is a random screenshot of the multitexturing ability that version 0.4 will contain.

Development shot of multitexturing that will be available in version 0.4.

V0.3 New Render Modes2005-01-20
The following shots show some new render modes that will be available soon in v0.3 as well as a few other goodies like 2D images and text. In the first 3 shots, the entire viewport's render mode is changed to textured, solid, and wireframe rendering. The last shot shows the ability of every object to have its own rendermode, so some objects can be wireframe, some textured, etc. A viewport will always be able to override all objects rendered within it to a specific rendermode as seen in the first 3 shots.

The scene rendered with default rendering. All objects are set to a textured render mode (default).

The viewport is set to override all objects in the scene to a solid render mode. This is accomplished with 1 line of code.

The viewport is set to render in wireframe mode.

This shows setting rendermodes at a per-object level. Some items are wireframe, some are solid, and some are textured.

Random v0.3 Shot - Font (2D Text and image) support2005-01-09

A screenshot showing an example of the new text and 2D image engine that will be in v0.3.

New splash screen for v0.2 shots2004-12-06

A new splash screen will be in v0.2 that shows particles and per-vertex dynamic lighting.

The end of the splash screen when the main light is fading in.

More pre-v0.2 shots (updated pong clone)2004-12-03

Demonstrates a particle system that will be in the v0.2 pong clone game. A puff of fire and smoke begins when the ball collides with an object.

This system may not fit in visually, but it provides a good example of using the new particle system ability in the engine.

Pre-v0.2 shots2004-11-12

Demonstrating billboarding particle systems which will be available in v0.2.

Pre-alpha test shots2004-10-20

Below are a few preliminary development shots of the Espresso3D running a test application. There really isn't too much graphically impressive there, but that's not the intent of the first release of E3D. These shots are showing a technical test (testing collision, lighting, etc), and gives you something to look at until the first release alpha is available.

E3D Splash Screen

One more screenshot of the testbed. Everything in this shot supports collision detection. The balls can all collide and react with each other as well as the paddle and the world and react in a correct manner.

This is showing my current testbed for E3D. Nothing fancy graphically here, but what it is being used for is testing time-based movement, object loading, collision detection, and per-vertex illumination.
